I'm a board-certified family physician and burnout & resiliency coach living in Brooklyn, NY. I have over 10 years of clinical experience and I am also a passionate meditation teacher. My meditation experience goes back almost 30 years, when I spent time at buddhist monasteries and was taught silent meditation beginning as a child. Having personally hit the wall of burnout twice, I started Tipping Point Liberation Coaching to address the mounting toll of work exhaustion and burnout on the modern professional.
I am first generation American. I am the product of an Afro - Asian combination of cultures. My parents are immigrants from the Caribbean and from the Middle East. I have had the privilege of living and working in Sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia several times. In terms of meditation, my practice follows the Vipassana method as taught by S.N. Goenka.
I help clients with re-centering forms of rest in their lives and in doing so I help you transform a life of exhaustion into a life that affirms you. We live in a work culture that promotes overworking, burnout, crisis, anxiety, and depression. My philosophy is that rest is a form of resistance. That resistance leads to to liberation from harmful work structures and cycles of repeated personal depletion. I help clients break cycles of burnout and personal depletion, and reclaim the rest they desperately need.
I help you transform a scarcity mindset, decrease and eliminate the somatic effects of stress, and develop strong boundaries. In guiding clients in aligning their choices and professional options with their true desires, I provide strategy and inspiration for a creative and lasting exit from cycles of burnout. The goal with every client is to create more spaciousness for opportunity, creativity, success, and ultimately, expression of true self.
