Hey I'm Corinne! I began my yoga journey, as a student of drama + dance where I engaged in an everyday warm-up consisting of asana, pranayama & meditation. My formal studies took me to Montreal, where I danced semi-professionally; a discipline that encouraged me to develop a committed home yoga practice. As a yoga practitioner, student, and teacher, I specialize in yoga for many conditions. However, my main yoga practice is specifically for the endocrine system and hormones. While I was going through perimenopause I was experiencing debilitating migraines and one suggestion was that the only things that would help would be to go on Hormone Replacement Therapy or the Pill, and to take migraine medications. My first and only reaction was forget that! I began my search and soon discovered Brazilian Yoga Therapist Dinah Rodrigues and her method "Hormone Yoga Therapy".
After a few months of regular practice, literally, all my hormonal symptoms including the migraines were eliminated.

Hormone Yoga Therapy (HYT) for women is a natural and holistic method created by a Brazilian psychologist and Yoga therapist, Dinah Rodrigues. HYT is a dynamic form of Yoga Therapy, whereby the objective is to reactivate in a natural way the hormone production of the endocrine glands of women: ovaries, thyroid, pituitary gland, and adrenals. HYT combines elements of classical Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Tibetan energy circulation techniques.
HYT consists of a special series of Dynamic Yoga exercises (asanas) to reactivate hormone production and, as a consequence, it eliminates most symptoms of hormonal imbalances. Asanas are accompanied by intense breathing techniques (pranayama), energetic level, concentration, visualization, and relaxation (Yoga Nidra). Regular practice helps to harmonize the hormonal system and consequently eliminate the symptoms of low hormone levels.

HYT is a sequence that takes about 25 - 30 minutes to complete, and for optimal results, requires practicing 4-5 times per week.
