Phuong-Thao Nguyen (she/her) is a 1st generation Vietnamese immigrant woman who is a lover of learning, sensual dancer, shadow worker, summoner of pleasure, play and rest, and plant mama. She received her bachelor’s in Community Health from CSU East Bay, which led her to working as a domestic violence counselor and policy advocacy in the issues of domestic violence, sexual assault, and immigration. Today, Phuong-Thao is a Somatic and ReBloom Coach supporting folks on their journeys of healing and no longer settling for what they can get. She helps folks who have become disconnected from themselves due to personal, interpersonal and systemic trauma and helping them reconnect back to their bodies, voices, and aliveness so they can define who they are and the life they want. She specializes in somatic healing, boundaries, life transitions (i.e. breakup, divorce, moving to a new state, country, leaving work), self love, worth and acceptance, burnout, anxiety, and domestic violence.
Supporting people in navigating life transitions, big decisions & living life on their own terms from a place of deep self trust and connection to their body, voice, and aliveness so they can live an uncaged life.
Somatic coaching is a great option for those who want to complement talk therapy with somatic practices to cultivate a connection back to your body. When there is a lack of understanding of how your nervous system works, shame and blame fills the void as a default.
You are supported in coming back into a compassionate relationship with your body and yourself by understanding your unique trauma responses, growing your capacity to be present in your body and how to get unstuck to be able to tap into your power of choice, self-trust and aliveness.
My top-down (cognitive) and bottom-up (body-based) approach bridges the mind & body connection, behaviors, emotions, impulses and experiences in different realms of your life to move out of surviving into thriving.

Do you have a sense that something is off? Perhaps, realizing the life you are living are based on the terms of others, society, and culture and there is this internal conflict that's creating dis-ease in your mind, body, and spirit?
It can feel like your mind at war with your heart and gut aka intuition. One reason is the narratives that we have internalized that informed us how to live, "fit into," and meet the expectations of others.
The internal conflict begins when you begin to awaken to your own desires in life and live the life based on YOUR terms. Then your body has a visceral reaction that it's not okay.
In the 1:1 clarity sessions, we make space for what is coming up and working with the mind, heart, and body to begin creating life on your own terms living for you without guilt, shame, and fear.
1:1 Clarity Session
Phuong Thao was calm, patient, empathetic and empowering and listened to my current thoughts. It was nice to talk to a professional to help validate my feelings. It was also helpful to check in with my body and listen to it in the moment, which is difficult for me to do on my own, in the hustle and bustle of everyday mom life. Definitely recommend a Clarity session. I also thought 75 mins is a sufficient amount for a session.
