Breathwork is the practice of controlling your breathing rate and depth to bring awareness to your breath. It has roots in Eastern practices like yoga, Tai Chi and Buddhism, and reaps the same benefits from a meditative practice. Breathwork is a great way to help relieve mental, emotional, and physical tension, such as reducing stress, reducing inflammation, and alkalizing your blood PH levels. There are several forms of breathwork practices, including Pranayama, Holotropic, and Rebirthing, each with its own unique set of technique, use, and benefits.
